We warmly welcome you to The Purbeck School. Please read the information below before signing on the ‘visitors signing-in sheet’ and collecting your information card & visitor badge. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask any member of staff who will be happy to help you.

Signing In and Out

To ensure that the Health and Safety of all individuals within our school, all visitors (including supply teachers, peripatetic music teachers, work experience students and contractors are required to sign in at Main Reception before entering the school and sign out on their departure. All visitors will be given a visitors badge which must be worn at all times. Please return your badge to reception when you sign out.

Emergency Evacuation

If you hear a continuous bell/alarm you should evacuate the building at the nearest fire exit – clearly marked around the school. The meeting point for all students, staff and visitors to the school is on the main front playground unless otherwise directed. Students and staff regularly practice the evacuation procedures so please ask if you are unclear. Visitors should report to Mrs Sarah Penny on the front playground so that you can be ticked off the register from the visitor’s book. Please do not wait or deviate to collect belongings. Please do not return to the building at any time until you have been instructed that it is safe to do so.
