  • The Department of Education recognises The Purbeck School as a top 10% A Level provider

    The Department of Education has published progress scores for all schools across England for their A Level provision.

    The score has placed The Purbeck School (with a score of 0.23) in the top 10% of state schools nationally as an A Level provider. 

    Adam Darley, Headteacher, commented, 'We know that we have a fantastic 6th form offer here. Students are well looked after and we have such expertise in the teaching staff that students gain an excellent academic education that prepares them well for their next steps. This progress score, which places us in the top 10% of state school providers across the country, is recognition of all this hard work.'

  • Super 7's Well Done!

    As part of our behaviour policy, in every lesson, each student is given a score.  Students receiving a 7 have exceeded expectations for the lesson. The following week, the names of the students will be compiled, and they will each receive 7 house points. Shortly after this, they will be presented with their Super 7 wristband which provides them with:

    1. Queue-jump for themselves and one friend for all break times and lunch times throughout the week.
    2. An invitation for a Friday hot chocolate with the Headteacher and House Leaders.
