The Department of Education recognises The Purbeck School as a top 10% A Level provider

The score has placed The Purbeck School (with a score of 0.23) in the top 10% of state schools nationally as an A Level provider.

Adam Darley, Headteacher, commented, 'We know that we have a fantastic 6th form offer here. Students are well looked after and we have such expertise in the teaching staff that students gain an excellent academic education that prepares them well for their next steps. This progress score, which places us in the top 10% of state school providers across the country, is recognition of all this hard work.'

Simon Holmes, Head of Sixth Form, added, 'We are so proud of the 2024 cohort of students. They deserve to be recognised, and this progress score does this. Congratulations to all of them, and a huge well done to the A Level teaching team here at the school.'

This is a another fantastic achievement for The Purbeck School, following on from recording a progress figure of 0.6 for GCSE results that placed the school in the top 6% of schools nationally for GCSE results.
