National Careers Week and International Women’s Day
As part of National Careers Week and International Women’s Day, we invited into school Kathryn Burn, Finalist of BBC The Apprentice, to present to our Year 9 and 10 students on the morning of Tuesday 4th March.
Kathryn Burn talked through her journey to success: From finishing secondary school, backpacking across the world, to eventually setting up her very successful company “My Christmas Pyjamas” with a £50 budget.
She shared her experiences of the world of business and discussed the challenges that she has overcome. She shared her entrepreneurial traits of resilience, hard-work, learning from mistakes, determination and being kind with our students.
Her presentation was inspirational, and we would like to thank Kathryn for taking the time to visit Purbeck School.
