Year 12 Students – Back to School
Dear Year 12 student,
In order to provide you with some face to face tuition this side of the summer break with your subject teachers, I have attached a schedule of sessions for you to come into school to participate in.
The schedule is based on the two weeks starting from the 15th June (it is likely that this schedule will be repeated in the following two weeks) and also indicates the timings and rooming for the different sessions (the majority of which run from 9.20-11.20am).
Social Distancing and access
You will only be allowed on site for your allotted times – you will be able to access the site 15 minutes before your allotted time for your study session (in most cases sessions start at 9.20am and finish at 11.20am). As soon as you arrive you should report to the main entrance where you will be asked to wash your hands and register. No other school entrance should be used. You will be met by a member of staff who will indicate where you should then proceed to. Once the teaching session is complete you will be asked to leave the site.
Please can you ensure that you adhere to social distancing regulations at all times for the protection of yourself, your peers and staff members. The site and the rooms will also be set out to accommodate social distancing and you will remain in the one room only for the duration of the subject session.
Drop off/Pick up
Buses will be running as normal. However, you may well want to be dropped off and collected from school by your parent/carer or you may be in a position to make your own way to school.
Please can all drop-off and pick-ups be made at the rear of the school in the sports centre car park. If you are driving yourself then please park at the rear of the school.
Please can you come prepared with your own equipment and drinks and snacks (you will not be able to share any equipment with your peers). The canteen at school is not open. There will still be access to drinking water, so you can bring in your own refillable drinks bottle. Please come prepared with subject questions/issues/problems or anything else school related that you need help with.
There will be a member of the sixth form team on site each day so if you do wish to discuss any particular other issues please do not hesitate to ask to see us.
We are really looking forward to seeing you all and I know staff are planning on making the sessions as informative, enjoyable and useful as possible given the short window we have face to face.
We are expecting all students to attend each session for their subject. If you have any concerns about coming into school please do contact either myself or Mr Smith.
