Y12 Art Workshop at Durlston Castle
Year 12 Art students have had the fantastic opportunity to attend a workshop at Durlston Castle and the surrounding woodland area. The session was run by local landscape artists Tim Edgar and Tony Kerins. Students explored experimental mark making using natural materials such as feathers, grasses and debris from the woodland floor. Tim and Tony offered their critique and advice to students, as they moved through the woodlands observing the early spring light and plants reappearing from the winter dormancy. We are very excited to see how this experience will benefit the visual style of our artists in their upcoming landscape artworks.
