Who Killed the Pig?

This morning our Purbeck Hall was filled with 60 excited Year 9s venturing into a world of Forensics. This amazing workshop was provided by Bournemouth University, and students worked through 4 analysis stations trying to solve the crime of “who killed the pig”. Students learnt how impartial, effective science can be used to provide evidence in a court of law. They analysed fingerprints, footprints, blood splatter and handwriting.  This experience explored careers within Biology, Anthropology, Investigation & Forensic Science. The team of 4 BU student ambassadors also shared their journey to university and future plans to work in Media Communications, Psychology, Wildlife Conservation and Sport Management.
