Updated guidance regarding face masks

Dear Parent/Carer

As you may be aware the DfE has released some more guidelines related to face masks in school. Therefore, as of Monday we would like to amend our face mask policy for students.

Masks will no longer need to be worn in classrooms, or when a student is in their bubbled area. However, due to the nature of our narrow corridors, we are going to ask that students continue to wear masks during lesson changeovers and when they are crossing another year groups bubbled area. It is so important that we try and ensure that any Covid case in the school is contained, especially with crucial assessments next week for Year 11 and 13. We will review this policy for next half term, when we hope to be in a position to remove masks for students completely. Therefore, students should continue to bring a face mask to school. The guidelines for wearing masks on buses and public transport has not changed.

Can we also take this opportunity to wish our Year 11 and 13’s all the very best next week in their standardised assessments.

Take care
