On the 21st December, students from one of Dorset’s top performing sixth forms, The Purbeck School in Wareham, spent the morning touring Wareham’s high street and local businesses raising money for two charities:  Purbeck Youth and Community Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support. “We were overwhelmed with the generosity of the public. On Monday 9th July, Year 7,8 and 9 students were treated to a series of short talks from Natalie Mason (Battens Solicitors), Andy Burnett (Chococo) and Tom Clarke (National Trust). The speakers talked about their career and their journey to where they are now,  delivering lots of hints and tips about employability skills, education being for life not just school, and the portfolio of jobs and activities that many people undertake
