An opportunity has arisen at The Purbeck School to employ a Sixth Form Manager.

The Sixth Form is made up of approximately 200 students who are organised into eight tutor groups. The purpose of this post is to support student development under the direction of the Head of Sixth Form and the Heads of Year. Because of the high level of responsibility and broad scope of duties, a real commitment to the role combined with a willingness to be flexible in sharing and scheduling the workload, are essential components of this job.

The Sixth Form Student Manager will be responsible for managing the Sixth Form Study Area, overseeing Sixth Form attendance, administration and mentoring Sixth Form students. The Sixth Form Student Manager will be the primary contact (after Tutors) for Sixth Form student pastoral issues and will be able to react to immediate issues and also organise appointments with students to mentor them where necessary. The manager will also work with small groups of the student leadership team, for example the student environment group.
