Sixth Form Charity Prefects raise £120 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Charity Team Students organised their first fundraising event for Sixth Form this month. They baked sumptuous cakes, brewed copious cups of tea and decorated the Sixth Form lounge with Macmillan paraphernalia.
“I really enjoyed working with my teammates to create an event that brought together my fellow school friends and teachers. We were all thrilled to be able to donate £120 to Macmillan” said Emily Merrett.
Head of Year 13, Kayleigh Mason said “It was wonderful to see students raising money for a worthy charity such as Macmillan. They demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication, negotiation and budgeting skills which they can continue to build on throughout their time in Sixth Form”.
The students would like to thank Sainsbury’s in Wareham, teachers and other students for their kind donation of cakes and for supporting the event.
