School Closure Information – Please read
It is now official that all schools in England will be shutting for the vast majority of students after their final lessons this Friday.
We will be remaining open to those students who have parents regarded as key workers and also our students with EHCP’s. If you are a parent who is a key worker, such as NHS staff, police and supermarket delivery drivers, or has a child with an EHCP, please could you let us know by Friday 20th March if you are intending to send your child into school. This is vitally important as we need to ensure that we will have enough staffing available. Please reply email@example.com
In line with the email we sent out earlier in the week, we will begin our online lessons on Tuesday 24th March. We are all devastated that Year 11 and 13 examinations have been cancelled, and are determined that their hard work is properly recognised and rewarded. We still don’t know exactly what has been decided for Year 11 and 13 – and until we do we will keep setting work.
I will write to you later today about students who receive free school meals. The government has indicated that vouchers will be issued – as yet we have no details of this. However, Caterlink, our catering provider has committed to keeping some form of kitchen open at the school in the short term that will be open for students eligible for free school meals. We will endeavour to gain some clarity around this issue today.
This is clearly an unprecedented time. We do not know when we will be able to open our doors again to everyone, but we are determined to support you and the community in any way we are asked to do.
Stay safe and well.
