On Friday the 25th of June, Purbeck’s Run to Rwanda event is coming to an end with a non-uniform day and fundraising activities. Donations from everyone’s sponsored runs and walks will be collected and this will be combined with money collected during the day. Students can wear any sensible home clothes (see Dress Code below), and should include something the same colour as the Rwandan flag – yellow, green or blue – and bring in a £1 donation.

Please watch Max and Grace telling first hand why it is so important to support this day.

At lunchtime on Friday, there will be fundraising events (weather dependent) and ice creams for sale so students can bring in extra money if you would like to take part.

The money collected from this event is being donated to The Peace & Hope Initiative in Kigali, Rwanda. They provide education, food and healthcare to vulnerable children to improve their opportunities in life. The Purbeck School’s previous fundraising has provided equipment for the children, including textbooks and a classroom projector.

Please tune in to BBC Radio Solent this Thursday morning at 07.50 to hear our Charity Prefects and Mr Holmes step up to the mic and talk with Steve Harris about this fundraising campaign.
