Once again Purbeck School students perform superbly – congratulations to the class of 2022

The Purbeck School is delighted to report some fantastic achievements by its students in their A levels/level 3 qualifications.

Adam Darley, Headteacher commented “This is the first set of external exams that this group of young people sat, as their GCSE results had been awarded during the Covid pandemic. They have worked so hard, and this hard work has been rewarded with a superb set of results. We couldn’t be prouder of them and we wish them all the very best for the future.

I would also like to thank the staff who have worked tirelessly with the students to help them achieve these results; it really is a team effort. Finally, I am sure that I speak for all the staff, students and parents, in thanking Debs Rayner (Head of Sixth Form) for her service to The Purbeck School, she is retiring this year and will be much missed by us all.’

Students across the board have posted some exceptional results. Some examples are below:

Incredibly, a number of students achieved A* results across all of their A level subject areas:

Joe Daly; Roisin Hegarty; Holly Pankhurst; Beth Starmer

A whole host of other students achieved exceptional results of A*/A or equivalent across all of their subjects, these included:
Sam Ward; Josh Brown; Holly Miller; Erin Gwillim; Megan Griffiths Hughes; Michaela Barry; Oscar Meaker; Ben Yarrow; Billy Winch; Ben Keesham; Beth Davies; George Maytum; Holly Gate; Kieran Eite; and Jamie Crompton

Assistant Head and Head of Sixth Form, Debs Rayner, added, ‘As I now retire, I reflect on what has been the most challenging 2 years. Our students have demonstrated their determination and resilience; they have been there to support each other and achieved outstanding results. I am immensely proud of the students I have known over the years and it has been a privilege to work with such talented and caring students and staff.’

Well done to everyone, good luck for the future, and keep in touch!
