New Ethos Statement at The Purbeck School

Dear parent/carer

I am writing to let you know that we are changing our ethos statement. Since 2017 we have had ‘Respect, Aspiration, Perseverance’ as our key principles that underpin our expectations and values.

We believe this better reflects the values that we wish to have at the school. The word ‘kindness’ will therefore appear as the following on our value statement, and replace the word ‘respect’:

Can I thank all the students for being part of the review process. This new statement better reflects the wishes of our students, and I am sure that you will agree, is something that should direct everything that we do as a school. The ‘aspiration’ and ‘perseverance’ will not change, therefore, the new statement will look as follows:

Kind regards
Adam Darley, Headteacher
