Message from the Headteacher
Dear Parent/Carer
Our Year 11 and 13 students have had a busy week this week with their mock examinations. Can we thank all the students involved, as they have conducted themselves brilliantly throughout the week. There are some exams next week, but the vast majority are now completed. There will be another set of mocks in March to help prepare for the final exams in the summer. Year 11’s will now be looking forward to their work experience which will begin in the week beginning the 29th November.
This week we have had assemblies and tutor activities based around anti bullying as it has been National Anti Bullying Week. Can we highlight the school website which has a bullying hotline email link on the front page, if any student wishes to report an incident of bullying then there is 24 hour access to this on the web page. Alternatively, they can of course report any incident to a member of staff.
Next week is a four day week as Friday 26th is an INSET day. It is also a ‘take your child to work day’, which you will have been sent some information about (it is also on the news section of the website). We understand that due to Covid this may not be possible next Friday as different workplaces will have different restrictions, as a result there will be other occasions later in the year when we will be promoting the same scheme.
We have a couple of date changes for the diary to note. We will be finishing slightly early on our last day of this term, the buses will be picking up at 12.10pm, and we have had to change our date for the Queen’s platinum jubilee bank holiday. We were due to have our extra bank holiday before the June half term, however, due to external exams being scheduled for that particular day we have moved this to the 22nd July.
Just a reminder that there is still time to complete our parent school survey. If you have not completed this then here is the link:
Link to parent log in: https://survey.gl-assessment.co.uk/s/7GANV/

It should take between 5-10 minutes to complete.
Have a lovely weekend.
