Local School Nature Grant

The Purbeck School is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Local School Nature Grant, thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Our pupils will be benefiting from an amazing seating planter which will be used by students to come into the allotment and have a place away from the busier playground to sit. In addition staff will receive training to help children learn outdoors. Pupils played an important role in applying for the grant and selected equipment that they felt would be most useful for their peers.

Head Teacher Mr Adam Darley said “This is a fantastic addition to our allotment area. The students will now have a new place to sit and enjoy the peaceful area. The project is run by Learning through Landscapes and funded by Postcode Local Trust, which receives funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery.”
