Study Plus sessions (home learning provision) 2023-2024
At The Purbeck School, we know completing home learning is essential to long term academic success. It allows you to extend your learning and to reinforce what has been learnt in class. This year is going to be extremely important for all your child as they continue their studies and prepare for the future.
To support our students, we have introduced Study Plus sessions. These one-hour after school sessions have been hugely beneficial to everyone that has attended. Students can choose to complete their home learning, prepare for knowledge quizzes, complete coursework, revise or to undertake some directed self-study.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Study Plus will run from our café until 4.10pm. Following a ten-minute break at the end of the school day, we will provide drink and snacks from the school cafe. Each student will be able to use a school laptop or computer, if required. Members of staff will be on hand to support and supervise during this time. Our late bus is available to support students travel home.

Our E-mentoring programme, Ask Bath, is also available to all students in Years 10-13, offering academic peer support for homework or revision as well as information and discussion about university life, via a secure online chat service.
