Holywell Wind Trio visit Purbeck 15th September 2021

Year 7 today had an amazing assembly from The Holywell Wind Trio, led by Swanage-based Lydia Bennett.  Three students who are in their final year reading music at Oxford visited The Purbeck School to inspire young people to learn musical instruments in particular woodwind.  Ewan Millar (oboe, BBC Young Musician 2020 grand finalist), Katherine Lewington (clarinet & saxophone) and Lydia Bennett (bassoon) performed pieces including an arrangement of the Harry Potter theme tune which was enjoyed by all and talked about their instruments.
