Dell Workshop

During the workshop, students acted as “social enterprise companies”, tasked with designing a new technology-focused product to solve a social issue within their community. They will then pitch their idea to a representative from Dell, as if they are trying to gain funding. Students get the chance to learn about new emerging technologies, the workplace, how to create a sustainable business plan and pitch, consider social issues in their communities as well as developing core transferable skills such as creativity, problem solving and leadership. They did a fantastic job, with ideas ranging from homeless apps to creating smart watches and plastic recycling. Students received amazing feedback from the Dell representatives.
