Annual Sixth Form Charity Dress Up Day
Here at The Purbeck School Sixth Form we take pride in our most favourite day of the year: The . After months of online lessons prior to the summer holidays, we are back in school and have recently been preparing our costumes for the last day of term when we hope to spread some Christmas Spirit throughout the school.
The sixth formers have selected the local Wareham foodbank as one of their chosen charities. Issy Holmes a Head Prefect comments, “As we near Christmas, more families are turning to using foodbanks as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Foodbanks are relying on donations more than ever and as a school we have been able to collect an array of items to support the local community.” The second charity we have chosen to support this year is the Lexi-May Trust and we are fundraising through a fancy dress and Christmas jumper day on the last day of term.
Dorset Echo also ran an article on the days event which you can see here.
